Experiences are what makes us happy.  It's official!

Latest studies suggest that in this recession, spending money on great days out is better for your health and happiness than buying new 'stuff'

Let me help you give your customers fantastic experiences that they will always remember!

Hello!  Here’s what I do...

I am a creative performance consultant.  This means that I can help you create something truly spectacular. I focus on holistic performance - using all the senses to delight and enthrall your customers, visitors or guests.

I am also a social media specialist.  This means I can Twitter, Facebook, blog and Youtube you or your organisation to superstardom!

Before moving to stunning La Jolla, California,  I lived most of my life in Guernsey, Channel Islands and then in York, England.  All beautiful places with a strong sense of history and unique cultures that people from all over the world flock to visit and experience  I’m proud of all the wonderful places I’ve been lucky enough to live in and visit.  My varied background has given me a unique outlook on life.

My real world business experience is in the software industry so I know how to operate on a commercial level to please and delight customers.  I hold a postgraduate diploma in Management and am about to complete my MBA, specialising in Life Sciences.  I am fascinated with what makes people happy and engaged in the world around them and the psychology of the ‘experience.’

I have a lovely American husband, three young children and in my ‘copious spare time’, I’m a labour/birth doula and childbirth educator - DONA and ICEA trained to support women through pregnancy and childbirth and make their birthing experiences as happy and positive as possible.

My whole philosophy is about making life interesting, worthwhile, creative and extraordinary for everyone, young and old, in all stages of life and wellness.

Are you with me?

I have a BA (Hons) in Theatre and Performance and I love all kinds of performance art, particularly the edgy and unusual.  My performance and writing skills range from stand-up comedy to contemporary dance and drama.  My formal  acting training includes intensive work at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London (RADA) and improvisation workshops with the legendary Keith Johnstone.  I am unshockable where art is concerned and love to take creative risks, tempered with a little business savvy.  I’ve written several plays and the novel, ‘Park.’

I currently run the Shinemama parenting blog and community.  I founded the Yorkshire Comedy forum and have worked at BBC Manchester on national television shows. I also served as artist liaison for the National Student Drama Festival and am experienced in dealing with creative talent.
